Questions, answered honestly
What's included in the monthly price?
Hosting and an SSL certificate, small edits and updates whenever you need them, help setting up your Google Business Profile, a contact/enquiry form, and a mobile-friendly design. The website build itself is free, and so is your first month of hosting. Both plans include exactly the same things – the yearly plan is just cheaper. A domain name isn't included in either plan – you can add one for a small extra fee, or use a domain you already own.
Is the website really free to build?
Yes. There's no upfront cost for designing and building your site, and your first month of hosting after it goes live is free too. Your plan (£30 a month, or £240 a year) only starts after that.
Is there a minimum term?
Not on the monthly plan – there's no contract, it's simply month to month. If you choose the yearly plan, you pay £240 upfront for 12 months (the same as £20 a month, saving £120 compared with monthly).
How does the yearly plan work?
After your free first month, you pay £240 upfront to cover the next 12 months – that works out at £20 a month, saving £120 a year compared with paying monthly. Everything included is the same as the monthly plan. Before it renews, we'll check in to see whether you'd like another year, want to switch to monthly, or want to stop. As it's paid upfront, the yearly plan can't be refunded if you cancel part-way through – but your website stays live for the full year you've paid for.
Can I cancel?
Yes. On the monthly plan you can cancel any time – just let us know before your next payment and you won't be charged again. No cancellation fees. On the yearly plan, you can cancel at any point and it simply won't renew. There's no refund for the rest of the year, but your website stays live until the end of the year you've paid for.
Who owns the domain name?
You do. A domain name (for example yourbusiness.co.uk) isn't included in the monthly or yearly price. If you already own one, we'll use it. If not, we can add one for you for a small extra fee, registered in your name so it stays yours.
What counts as a “small edit”?
Everyday changes like updating text, prices, opening hours, photos, contact details or adding a new review or project. Bigger jobs – like adding lots of new pages or features such as online booking or a shop – we'll chat through with you first.
How long does it take to build?
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly we get your details and photos, but most small business sites are ready for you to review within one to two weeks.
What if I already have a website?
No problem. We can build you a fresh, modern replacement and move it onto your existing domain, so customers still find you at the same address. We'll make sure the switchover is as smooth as possible.
Do I need to write everything myself?
No. Just tell us about your business and we'll help shape the wording. If you have photos or a logo, send them over – if not, we'll work with you on what's best.
Do you only work with certain types of business?
